A Black Inner Tube

And to think that a black inner tube could entertain my 3 girls for hours! That's exactly what happened. The 4 of us trekked to Old Belize and enjoyed time in the sun making sandcastles, and swimming around in inner tubes. Then we linked up and went into the "DEEP" and crossed to the other side. It was GREAT!

Two out of the three girls brought their dollies and made a place for them to enjoy too.

The ride home was pretty quiet as we called it a day after spending 4 hours there. Time well spent for the beginning of their 2 weeks off for Easter holiday.

Here we come Belize Zoo on Wednesday! No doubt memories will be happening there!

Definition of a good/full day in Belize!

Ah, yesterday...

Got the girls up and ready for their day...did laundry and we cleaned & mopped the house before one of my friends watched the girls for a few hours.

I joined Rachel and the rest of the youth leaders and youth on a prayer walk around Belmopan. We prayed for businesses, people, roads, the government, church buildings. There's no doubt that God listened to our prayers, now to keep those prayers consistent and to watch God work in Belmopan.

Came home and the girls and I ate lunch, then we helped wash the bus. Washing the bus worked out PERFECTLY since it was way hot yesterday (easily in the 90's). Then off to Spanish Lookout for some ice cream.

From there we ate tortilla pizzas for supper then relaxed and watched Phineas & Ferb then Hannah Montana. Read a story, prayed and bed.

GREAT day.

Time for a waterfight!

The weather's getting hotter and so cooling off is a scheduled event...well at least it was today.

The girls are officially on Easter Holiday, and in between working on a shelf, the girls enjoyed soaking Rach's brother Bobby with water...a welcomed feeling. Soon after the girls and I filled our water bottles & Coke bottles with rain water and we dumped water on each other. A reminder for me to take a break from the tasks of the day to HAVE FUN and make happy memories with my girls.

Thanks for the reminder God, and thanks for coolin' me off! :o)

Happy & Sad Faces...

This month the standard 1 class teacher (approx 2nd grade) is doing a behavior chart for her class. 2 of my girls are in Mrs. Fuller's class and so one of my girls & I had a chat for her sad face. The reasoning for her sad face in school today...a boy threw the teacher's ruler and it hit her hand and then bounced and hit her in the eye. For who she is, she instinctively threw the ruler back at the boy. Of course the teacher saw her throw it, so got into trouble. Thus a sad face for the day. She came home upset and "hating" school. She said that the kids tease her all the time. I then had the opportunity to be a "Mom" and help teach her. We'll see what happens, but I told her that we will pray every day before she goes to school that God will help her be self-controlled and when they tease her to not tease them right back. We will pray James 1:19---to be quick to listen, slow to speak & slow to become angry.

Vamos a ver.

Oh the things my girls ask/say!

Once the girls were all ready for school, they came and sat on the couch next to me. Esther plunked right on my lap and asked "Why don't you have a boyfriend?" I responded with, " Are you helping me pray for one?" She then said that I should be the one praying for one and not her. I reminded her that we pray for all kinds of people when we pray, so praying for my boyfriend is ok too.

God, I think You will be hearing a lot about me today and my boyfriend (whoever & wherever he is), my girls are gonna be prayin'!

Outgrown Slippers

Hey Everybody!

All is well on the home front. My 3 princesses are playing out on the veranda (porch) with their dollies and are quite content.

Can I just tell you that almost every time I blink, their feet are growing or they "popped their slippers (broke their flip flops)." My girls live in flip flops, as do I...can't beat it! As my girls outgrow their slippers, I'm reminded that they are indeed growing. The size of their feet are not of much concern to me, as compared to their heart size for God. I want my girls to grow and change to be more like Jesus.

As new slippers are purchased, I am honored and privileged to be a part of their lives and to help mold them into girls who love God more and more.

Blessings....Mish & her girls
